beware the library ghost!
Username/Display Name: un: elderflower / dn: SH.

Time: one fine morning sometime after Book Club
To my fellow guests:
First, I would like to thank everyone who attended Miss Amelia's book club meeting last week. Please remember to thank her for organizing it!
Secondly:
I'm sure we are all aware of supernatural or occult happenings taking place at the hotel from time to time.
That being the case, I would highly discourage anyone from remaining on the library floor after-hours. For one, it seems to decisively close at midnight, leaving you with no way to return to your suite, but also, it appears that a ghost may be haunting the premises thereafter.
[ or, you know, get trapped on purpose to have your own ghostly encounter (?) she's not your boss. ]
All to say: it may be unwise to spend the night at the library, no matter your skillset or ability or no matter how comfortable and cozy the seating there may be. The library houses many great works from across the universe, and I cannot stress enough the importance of ensuring no harm comes to such a collection. It would be best if we simply refrain from angering the after-hours ghost there.
So... please plan your visits accordingly.
Sincerely,
Sumina Heartleaf

There's a reason that I'm trying to emphasize that there should be no destruction involved with the library.

There was a ghost? Really. Why is this the first I'm hearing of this?
Ah, that is to say, I hope you're quite well after all that, Sumina.

Oddly enough, nobody else that I've brought this up with, such as the staff who are assigned to the library, seem to know what I'm talking about...
...And I'm fairly certain that I was not hallucinating at the time.
I'm doing alright now, though, Gale. Thank you for your concern! I would say that I haven't lost much sleep over it, or at least not more than I usually do.
[ is this supposed to be a good thing ]

I've no doubt that if you saw something, Sumina, it was real. You're not the sort to fabricate such tales, and I know there to be at least a few spirits on the floor my own residence is on. Something about ghosts and libraries, apparently. One can hardly blame them for wanting to enrich themselves after death, assuming it wasn't malicious.
That's not quite as comforting as you may have hoped it to be, Miss Heartleaf.

NOT HERE π»
Flora was giggling in her head all morning and Feather was unusually silent.
Looking at this message though...
...
... Should she apologize?
...
... Maybe next time. She doesn't want to frighten the poor dear so soon after 8)
So she'll just smile, close her phone and continue with her manicure.]

You were locked in too, Sumina? My apologies for not checking in on you after we were done with the book club. I would have taken care of that ghost right away.
[She would punch a ghost for her not!granddaughter!]

I and a few others who were cleaning up, as well. But please don't worry, Ms. Amelia! I came out alright, in the end.
[ Besides... Amelia was preoccupied, wasn't she? Hehe. ]
I don't know if anyone else encountered the ghost after it left me alone, but if they haven't said anything yet, hopefully that means they're faring well, too. And I realize now I probably could have called on Satoru for assistance, but I suppose I didn't think to in my panic.

[Which is kind of funny; the fact that Amelia finds herself willing to try this whole endeavor again because it was... Fun. Fancy that.]
You did well to run and watch out for yourself first and foremost. I hope you were able to get some shuteye after it left.

What happened that made you think it's haunted?
no subject
I came across a woman who seemed to be in a bit of a state... However, whenever I approached or tried to address her, she would begin to move erratically, and then eventually she began to levitate and fly about, following me despite my attempts to flee...

I've seen people's powers mistaken for ghosts in the past. In my home its common.

[ Can she throw down with a ghost? Why not? ]

Ser Barghest, I believe there is more to this ghost than simply dealing with it through brute force. My attempts at conversation were unfortunately unheeded, but perhaps there is another way to address this.
That being said, after some time, the ghost did leave me alone, and I do feel as if it did not truly mean harm. If it did, I likely would not be here writing these messages. I would simply like to avoid upsetting it any further.

To be abundantly clear, my chief concern is for the wellbeing of our fellow guests. But I also know that many of our fellow guests are extremely capable fighters in their own right, and may resort to more destructive means whether intentionally or not...

Understandable. I too would hate to see the loss of books, but... I do wonder if the hotel wouldn't simply recreate them if they were completely destroyed?
