beware the library ghost!

Time: one fine morning sometime after Book Club

To my fellow guests:

First, I would like to thank everyone who attended Miss Amelia's book club meeting last week. Please remember to thank her for organizing it!

Secondly:

I'm sure we are all aware of supernatural or occult happenings taking place at the hotel from time to time.

That being the case, I would highly discourage anyone from remaining on the library floor after-hours. For one, it seems to decisively close at midnight, leaving you with no way to return to your suite, but also, it appears that a ghost may be haunting the premises thereafter.

[ or, you know, get trapped on purpose to have your own ghostly encounter (?) she's not your boss. ]

All to say: it may be unwise to spend the night at the library, no matter your skillset or ability or no matter how comfortable and cozy the seating there may be. The library houses many great works from across the universe, and I cannot stress enough the importance of ensuring no harm comes to such a collection. It would be best if we simply refrain from angering the after-hours ghost there.

So... please plan your visits accordingly.

Sincerely,
Sumina Heartleaf

[ that is. totally fair. akechi can completely picture someone here fighting a ghost in a way that would ruin the books around them.

tragic. ]

Understandable. I too would hate to see the loss of books, but... I do wonder if the hotel wouldn't simply recreate them if they were completely destroyed?

[ is it time for SCIENCE?? ]

[ he's just CURIOUS... that's all...

he doesn't particularly want to destroy books. but sometimes sacrifices must be made. ]

Are you implying I would do something like that? Personally, I simply feel it's a reasonable question.

Of course, I would never encourage people to go around destroying books just because they can come back easily anyway...

[ HMMMMMMM, ]

I do understand what you're saying. I simply wonder if an overabundance of caution in a place like this isn't wasted.

[ aka: they'll Probably Be Fine. ]

Your family runs an inn?

[ he's intrigued in spite of himself; family businesses seems kind of like a crazy dream to him. ]

And... does this inn replenish itself the same way?

[ who knows at this point, tbh. ]

Ah. I can understand your worry, then. I'm sure you've had to deal with all kinds of people messing things up in there.

[ so, if he does try and science this out... he just won't tell her until after, if it works. win/win!! ]

How kind.

I'm sure they would never suspect you of doing it, then, if something were to actually come up.

[ ...is he gonna do it or not? seems like even he doesn't know. ]
