I don't know that anyone has tried to do those things specifically, but given the hotel's malleable nature, it would likely repair any damages. That said, destruction for the sake of it... I wouldn't be surprised if the hotel chose to retaliate in some way.

As for the hotel, we have no reason to believe that it isn't. The way it shifts and changes, it's almost as if it has a mind of its own. We should show it a healthy dose of respect, regardless.

I hadn't considered it eating anyone, but I suppose it's possible. I was more thinking it might retaliate with something a bit more nefarious than magnetism or sleep-inducing hot tubs, but far be it from me to discourage imagination, especially when there are so many unknowns.

While I certainly do see your point, it would be most unfortunate to be surprised by suddenly having that theory disproven. The ocean floor is of the hotel's own making, so the rules may not be consistent for us.

All I'm saying is exercise due caution!
