Well well, would you look at that? The place didnβt burn itself down while I was gone, though not for lack of trying. Or so Iβve been told.
Anyway, it looks like weβve acquired some new faces in the last month. In the grand tradition of the hotel forcing us to get to know one another, why donβt we play a little game?
Is everyone familiar with βtwo truths and a lieβ? Itβs simple enough. List three things about yourself, one of which is not true. Others must guess which is the lie.
Here, Iβll go first.
[ TL;DR - Weβre playing two truths and a lie now! Thread hop around and tag each other! Winter will be hopping around to play too, but if folks just want to chat with him now that heβs back that is also fine! ]

As for your proposed game:
1. I once taught a beast to speak.
2. I once was given a red rose.
3. I once was an Abigail.

Aside from what aid I was able to provide during the latest difficulty with the hotel, it was more that our fellow guests were working to aid me.
I actually... rather enjoyed it.

But it has been a welcome reminder, yes.
Did you enjoy your time in your homeland, by the way?

The third one, perhaps? As I'm not sure if you have another definition to Abigail than it being a girl's name.

But perhaps you may have a guess, now, for what is meant by Abigail.

As for what Abigail means... a wife, maybe? Considering the origin of the name.

An astute guess, but not quite. 'Abigail' was a term used to refer to maids, in the 17th century.

In due time, however, we shared many conversations. He even learned table manners, and how to dress like a gentleman.
That is to say, the first holds true as well.

I'm afraid that the third is one of the truths.
Now, that leaves you with deciding whether the first is a truth or a lie.

I'm going to guess the first is the truth. Somehow, I wouldn't be surprised to hear you'd accomplished such a thing.

It is a misdirection of sorts, meant in jest, Gale.
"Abigail" was once the term used for maids, based on the name of a servant in a popular work of fiction at the time.
Though it was a time long since past.
You have guessed correctly on the first, however.

You are always so sweet, my dear....
Like the first honey of spring.
But it is hardly proper to play with a lady's heart, you know.
[ because he's always saying things like that, it's hard to tell if he's being serious or just playing around. ]
I'm afraid the second is the falsity, in any case.
