Well well, would you look at that? The place didn’t burn itself down while I was gone, though not for lack of trying. Or so I’ve been told.

Anyway, it looks like we’ve acquired some new faces in the last month. In the grand tradition of the hotel forcing us to get to know one another, why don’t we play a little game?

Is everyone familiar with “two truths and a lie”? It’s simple enough. List three things about yourself, one of which is not true. Others must guess which is the lie.

Here, I’ll go first.

Aside from what aid I was able to provide during the latest difficulty with the hotel, it was more that our fellow guests were working to aid me.

I'm glad to hear it.

And I did, thank you. I was mostly away on business but it was nice to be able to check in on everyone.

But it does seem that way, doesn’t it? Rest assured, I’m ready to go back to vacationing now.

I can be perfectly idle when I want to be. But I would rather fill my days with something, even if it’s as simple as sitting down with a book.

Then, we are of the same mind, in that sense.
Time passes much more slowly, when there is naught to fill it with.

Fortunate, then, that the library here is so vast —
Reading each book within would take quite some time...

I don’t think I have THAT much time to spare. Exploring the hotel is just as worthwhile.
