Since I've arrived here I've been exploring the place, but since it really is so huge... I was hoping I could gather some information from the rest of you.

I'd appreciate hearing about the various floors or rooms you've come across and what was in them. The strangest things you've seen, even.

There's only so much I can discover on my own, unfortunately, and I know that people have had... experiences, to say the least.

Shifting layouts? Does this mean I can expect my room to appear on a different floor at the whims of the hotel?

No, from what we noticed, so long as there are occupants on the floor, the layout won't shift. It appears to be only ones without guests for now.
But that's correct. The ice remained solid.

That’s a relief. I’m currently the only one on my floor, but that makes it “occupied,” so…

I’d hate to have to go all around looking for my own room.

Is your floor unusual at all?

No, it seems rather ordinary. I can't speak on behalf of the other rooms, but mine is rather plain.

I found myself on a floor dedicated to... ah, artistic pursuits?
There are several studios and supplies around.

Fascinating, and much nicer sounding than some of the other floors I've seen or heard of.

Do you have any particular interest in art?

I don't, no.
But I wound up with the room next to a familiar face from home so I wonder if that might have had anything to do with it.

I admit I was not put near those I know from home, myself. I wonder how it decides.

But you do have people you're familiar with, then? I was curious as to how that's decided, too.

There are two people here I'd met back home before, yes.

It is interesting, isn't it? What makes our worlds, our groups of people more likely to be granted this opportunity?

Exactly. There's so much about this place that is just begging to be looked into... I can't imagine coming here and simply accepting it all.

Neither can I, but I suppose we don't know everyone's circumstances. Perhaps they're used to stranger things happening.

Just because something is strange doesn't mean other things can't also be.

That's true enough. But all the same, we can't claim to know what everyone else is thinking. I personally want to map out as much of this hotel as I can.

I think at least if we can document effects, we can guarantee some level of preparation and understanding.

I was thinking that, too. It's just a matter of educating ourselves enough to be able to determine a pattern in the first place.

[ akechi would... prefer to work alone. isn't even used to working with people-- aside from a few exceptions. but... he'd also be foolish to pass up an opportunity to gather more information from others, which is exactly what he thought when he made this post to begin with. ]

I'll take note of the different floors people have mentioned. I suppose the next step would be to see if they're still on the same floor they were before, at this point, as well as keep track of any future changes or new floors discovered.

I can check the floors they've mentioned and verify and of course I'll also glance at the one I've been to personally. You're welcome to accompany me or we could explore the floors with no information on them as of yet.
