[ akechi isn't particularly fond of reaching out to people in the hotel, but... he's realized it may actually be his best source of information, so he's biting the bullet and posting to the network. he Actually Tries to be polite about it all, so his message is chill. ]

Hello, all.

Since I've arrived here I've been exploring the place, but since it really is so huge... I was hoping I could gather some information from the rest of you.

I'd appreciate hearing about the various floors or rooms you've come across and what was in them. The strangest things you've seen, even.

There's only so much I can discover on my own, unfortunately, and I know that people have had... experiences, to say the least.

I can't imagine that being an effective course of action in any situation. Well, I do suppose anything is possible here, but my companion and I took care of them the old-fashioned way— with magic. Not without some injury, admittedly, but it was handled easily enough.

I suppose the concept is not universal. Magic is, at its core, drawing upon the power of the Weave to make intent reality— to bring roaring flames or bolts of lightning into reality, or even to summon forth allies from other planes of existence.

[Why, he's so glad you asked—]

Very interesting. Similar concepts, then, but not considered magic. What does your world call it, if you don't mind my asking?

[It's possible... it's entirely possible.]

Summoning, I'm quite familiar with, though if these powers are based on one's cognition and the strength of someone's mind itself, I'm guessing you aren't calling these creatures from other planes of existence, at least not in the manner I might. I've heard of a similar power from another guest here, in fact— something called a Stand.

Certainly not. Summoned creatures, not unlike the elementals or other planar beings I have seen called forth in my own world, but still decidedly unique. My experiences with them have been limited, but undeniably thrilling!
