How many of you have returned to your worlds since arriving here? Do you frequently check in and has any time passed back home when you do? I'm curious, as a newcomer.

Well, we're an organization built around helping the residents of the region I come from. It encompasses quite a bit: Construction, crime, investigative matters...

I can't help but think that these things are a lot more...formal, where you're from.

Faerun, if you're at all familiar, though I suspect you may not be, given your skill with these devices so soon after your arrival. There are a handful of us who hail from the world of Toril, and I'll gladly be the first to confess that learning to communicate in this manner was something of a challenge.

Yes, that is a correct assessment. The organization that handles things like crime and investigation are the police, who are government funded. Construction is handled by different, private companies, generally.

Though you must be fairly important back home if these are the types of things you handle.

I've met someone already who mentioned the technology where he comes from is far behind what the hotel has. He's from a city called Waterdeep. Is that a place on Toril?

Earth. I've heard that name rather a lot since coming to this place, though it would appear not all Earths are exactly the same, which I find endlessly fascinating, even if not entirely surprising. There are more worlds out there than any of us can ever hope to name.

Waterdeep is, in fact, the greatest city in Faerun, and where I myself hail from! There are few of us here from the great Jewel of the North. You must be speaking of Winter. My thanks for the compliment, as well; I have put a great deal of time and effort into learning to adapt, though I was fortunate enough to have some guidance.

The differences between worlds are fascinating. I think we can all learn a lot from one another -- your idea of paid vacation, for instance, is one I'll definitely mull over. The government doesn't fund what we do; we operate off of community donations.

I guess you can say that I come from a powerful family...but I try to use that for good, more than anything else.

It would. I'm taking this as a learning experience. There are plenty of people from other worlds here, it's interesting.

Fushiguro is Gojo-san's ward. He's a bit serious and very responsible. Noticeable by his spiky black hair.

Kugisaki is a first year student at the school. Brash but kind. Likes shopping. Would likely enjoy it here very much. Short brown hair in a bob cut.

Itadori is another first year student. Very loud, very excitable. Soft-hearted. Short pink hair and scars on his face.

There being multiple worlds and universes is definitely a popular belief, though I never knew it to be true until I arrived here. I wonder if that means there are different versions of all of us as well? A universe where I don't come to the Hotel, branching off of from the one that I do.

Winter-san is indeed who I was speaking of. It was a pleasure speaking to him. Are you from the same world or different Faeruns like there are different Earths?

How does your government enforce laws without law enforcement? Unless crime isn't considered something under law enforcement's purview.

And oh, I wasn't considering your family but I suppose if your family is influential that must help immensely with the things you're doing.

If you're not into books, there's also movies. TV shows. Video games. Media in general is a very fulfilling hobby for some people.

It is. I never imagined there were other worlds at all. Even after months, I'm not used to it.

[It's absolutely both, but ask anyone who knows him in person, the latter is undeniably true.]

The existence of multiple planes and worlds is something commonly accepted where I come from, and even documented to a certain extent, but alternate universes is a newer concept, one I was introduced to here, as well. For instance, there is a woman here who is also from Waterdeep, but our experiences and memories regarding the city and events therein are quite different despite being from similar points in time. It is entirely possible that there could be another timeline in which you never came here in the first place!

As for Winter, I've yet to determine if we're from the same continuity or not, but so far, there's been nothing to suggest that there are any differences between the way we have both experienced life in Faerun. Time may certainly tell on that one, but the possibilities are apparently endless. Thrilling, if you ask me!

No, there's law enforcement, it's just...well, I'm not expert in it, but I imagine that what exists in your world is more extensive! That's just my guess, though. Fontaine certainly has rules in place, though, don't get me wrong.

And I guess it gives me an edge...with people who respected them, at least.
