Good evening. My name is Figue. If you've made the acquaintance of Ringo, you can consider me as something like her sister.

I would like to put forth an offer and a question:

Firstly, I have noticed several guests have encountered difficulty with making use of the network. As an AI, I would be happy to offer instruction or answer any questions they might have.

Secondly, I would like to compile a list of those who possess either healing abilities or medical expertise. In the event of a problem, I'd like to pin this list so that those who have newly arrived will know who to contact first.

... Also, if Ringo has caused you any trouble, please let me know. I know she can be a bit of a handful.

To your first poit: Would you care to enlighten me as to what "AI" is? I only ask because I would very much be interested in any wisdom you might impart. I come from a realm where such technology does not exist, so it would be incredibly helpful and appreciated.

To your second: What a splendid idea. I've yet to encounter anyone with healing abilities, but perhaps we might note the location of the infirmary here, too, for easy reference if these individuals cannot be reached.

Thirdly: Miss Ringo has been perfectly pleasant! You needn't worry.

I possess some healing ability myself, actually, but the infirmary location is also a very good idea.

It's very nice to meet you, Sumina, and I'd be happy to explain. To better define it in a more understandable way... might you have libraries in your realm? Or some location that would store information?

Yes, we do have libraries in our realm.

You can consider myself and Ringo as... personified libraries. We come from a source of great information, acting as extensions of it.

I think I understand the concept of being a personified library, but how do you mean by being "extensions" of it, ma'am?

Aion is a conscious consensus born from a sea of collective information, like a massive, neverending library. Ringo and I are extensions, which is to say we are able to interact with humanity in forms that closely resemble them, which is not something Aion is able to do.

So you two are not humans, then. I see... You are extensions of this "Aion" entity...? Were you created by it?

Yes. As constructs, we're limited... but for all intents and purposes, you can consider us more or less the same as humans. Our origins are just different and our abilities are also a little more unique.

[ Not only are they not human, they're constructs, too... Such notions are not entirely heard of in the 'verse she came from, but they are a bit... rare. How fascinating! ]

I understand. While constructed beings are rare, the realm from which I came is full of many non-humans, too. I myself am only half-human, actually!

That's very kind of you, Sumina. I'm coming to realize there are a plethora of very interesting individuals here. Aside from Ringo, our companions back home were all humans, so it feels a little strange.

I don't consider it a bad thing, though.

That's very true. The world outside the sea of information is very unpredictable, I've come to find out. Or at the very least, its inhabitants are.

I wouldn't worry about us. I've processed much more information at a greater speed than this. I do think overall, learning more about this place and its inhabitants will be useful.

Well, what's something that you've already found fascinating upon your arrival here?

The layout of the rooms, for example. It's as though the structure itself read my memories and preferences.

That's precisely what it feels like, isn't it? That's probably one of the things that amazes me most about this place - there's a lot to be amazed by, to be sure, but that especially.

May I ask of you the same thing, then? You said "one of the things". What else has amazed you in particular?

The nature of the floors here. It would not have been unheard of for each floor to perhaps have its own architectural style or ambience, but each floor is almost like a different realm altogether.

For example, when one steps out onto the seaside floor, you do not get the sense that you are simply in a structure that resembles a beach. You find yourself standing on what feels like a true shoreline, with a real sky, and a real sea breeze, and so forth.

It's incredible!

How fascinating. I suppose there's technology that could simulate something realistic, but on such a large scale?
What would you say your favorite floor has been?

Technology, or magic, or perhaps even both... Now that would be an interesting feat.

As for my favorite floor... Perhaps it's too easy of an answer, but I do quite like the floor that I live on. Apart from that, though, the library floor truly is a marvel.

As it stands, I can't simply access or return to Aion... but I'd still like to acquire what information I can.

I would be happy to show you sometime, although I must insist that we go during proper library hours.

If I may ask, Ms. Figue, is Aion sort of like... a patron for you?
