It's pretty cool of this place to have a whole floor just for making stuff. Seems like you could do anything you want there!

I've been working on fixing up one of the rooms for some kind of group work. Like, a crafting workshop? Not sure if that's the kind of thing anyone here would be interested in, but I was getting set up to do something kind of like this back home for some of the local kids before I came here. We were planning on starting with turning old socks into puppets, but most people here are older, so we could probably start with something more advanced. Don't gotta worry about letting you guys handle scissors unsupervised or anything.

It's just a thought, anyway, but if anyone would be into that kind of thing... let me know, yeah? Could do all kinds of things! Hell, we could yarnbomb the place to brighten it up a little bit! If it's something people would wanna go to, we could do a whole bunch of workshops. Like, one for puppets, one for painting, one for amigurumi...

Anyway. Let me know. Figure this room could be a kind of community craft space for anyone to use and hang out in, either way. It's room 5 on the third floor.

[ Lyney hadn't been all that sure what he'd expected, but at the very least, Kanji's physical appearance hadn't been it. The earnestness, however, is, and without missing a beat he'll give a bright smile of his own, making his way over. ]

[That appearance of his really does surprise a lot of people. Doesn't exactly match up with his interests, but he's all smiles when Lyney strolls in.]

Yeah, figured I'd get started on it right away while people were hype! I'm really pumped to get it going, you know?

[He draws up to his full height— which is quite tall, as it so happens— and dusts his hands off before grabbing one arm after the other to stretch.]

Workshops'll be cool and all, but I also want people to be able to come in here and hang out whenever. Never know when inspiration is gonna strike!

[ However Kanji may look, it's what he has to say and offer that interests Lyney much more. Even with the man looming over him the way he is (why are there so many tall people around Lyney-). ]

[ He doesn't take a step back, to his credit, but does tap his fingers against his chin while looking around some more, taking in what set up has already been done. Even with such a stature, his enthusiasm for crafting is clear as day in his tone and that has the magician settling right into his own. ]

Excitement is one of the best motivators, I fully agree! And a place to be able to freely and creatively express yourself would be quite the enticing luxury for many.

At least it is for me.

[Kanji feels immediately more at ease as he realizes that this guy really gets it— there's been a lot of that around the hotel, which sure is a nice change from how things always used to be back home.]

Yeah, exactly! Maybe even people who ain't tried anything like this before, or aren't that into art— maybe that's just cause they never had the chance. This'll mean there's no excuse not to try if they wanna!

[ The laugh Lyney gives is a comfortable and playful one, the magician already well relaxed as they get into chatting about the future. ]

We'll need to make it so enticing to try that even their potential shyness over their skill level or public image won't be enough to keep them away.

Though I don't know how much of an issue that second part is, given this is a world away from worlds and such.
