[ Juniper looks so proud of herself; and she thinks, too, that her more unscrupulous guardians would most certainly be, too! ...Not that she cares what they think. She's currently being a rebel!! And as such, she is equally proud of both Akechi and Ryuji for being brave and drinking. ]

[ Directed at Ryuji, ACAB and all that, as she all but brute force tears the cap off of her bottle of ale (it's a twist cap..) and then takes a hearty swig. ]

Now! I brought you two here to cheer you up because Kiki being gone has you all depressed. He wouldn't want you to be sad, would he!? Besides, you'll all get to see each other again when you go home anyway, huh?

She’s right, you know. [ he says, clearly trying to sound conversational and not exactly succeeding. ]

You shouldn’t be sad. [ he is POINTEDLY IGNORING his own feelings for the moment— ]

You should be angry. He left and he won’t even have to miss you with the way this place works, but you’ll have to miss him? How is that fair?

[ he is also ignoring the fact that ryuji straight up told him part of the reason he’s staying is for him.

[ For a moment, Ryuji wants to point it out. That they don't know if Akechi is going to be there when they get back. That he may be dead. But then he realizes that Juniper isn't... one of them, the Phantom Thieves, the people who know Akechi from back home, so he should probably keep his mouth shut. But it's a close thing.

He sips his lemonade a little melancholy instead at Juniper's reminder before startling slightly when Akechi turns his attention on him. Oh. That —

Juniper simply looks back and forth between the two boys, tipping her head to one side in question... Was smashing her bottle against the wall not enough to lift their spirits...? She'll have to work harder! Especially now that they both look even more miserable!

It's time to switch tactics for the moment, then. She swiftly steps up towards Ryuji and then holds her arms open. ]
