Well well, would you look at that? The place didn’t burn itself down while I was gone, though not for lack of trying. Or so I’ve been told.

Anyway, it looks like we’ve acquired some new faces in the last month. In the grand tradition of the hotel forcing us to get to know one another, why don’t we play a little game?

Is everyone familiar with “two truths and a lie”? It’s simple enough. List three things about yourself, one of which is not true. Others must guess which is the lie.

Here, I’ll go first.

Something like the Simulacrum spell of our world, then. That level of magic required to achieve a similar feat with our magic is not trivial by any means.

It’s not trivial in my world either. It took a while for me to get it just right, but I’ve achieved that goal and it’s served me very well. I’m hardly missing a day of work if my double is also me at the same time.

It’s somewhat confusing, but I hope you get the gist of it.

I am curious, though... Do monsters come to hide in your school? Knowing, of course, that you dispatch them with haste...

There are none whatsoever.

I’ve created several layers of wards over the years to encase the school so that it is nearly resistant to all manner of outside interference.

But unless Gojo or Winter told her, she’s not sure if Sumina knows her current status so she’ll just play it off as she usually does.]

Our academic approach towards our respective magic practices are admittedly similar.

[ Yes to all of those, but remarkably, she has not spoken with either Gojo or Winter about this. Rather, Astarion is the culprit here... not that she knows about the current status, only that Gale had intended to confess, and given what a pleasant mood she's found the wizard to be in lately, she can only assume that it went well. ]

Of that I am very certain, not that you need my opinion on the matter of course.

I've been very well, thank you. I hope you've been well since you went to check on things back home?

The matter with the floors turning into lava and then ice aside, yes, I have been well since returning! I spent my birthday with my father and helped with a few affairs at the inn for a little while before coming back here. I was quite busy helping with decorations for the dinner party thereafter, too.

I would hate to ask for your time as I'm sure you're busy, [ 👀 ] but shall we meet up sometime soon?
