Well well, would you look at that? The place didn’t burn itself down while I was gone, though not for lack of trying. Or so I’ve been told.

Anyway, it looks like we’ve acquired some new faces in the last month. In the grand tradition of the hotel forcing us to get to know one another, why don’t we play a little game?

Is everyone familiar with “two truths and a lie”? It’s simple enough. List three things about yourself, one of which is not true. Others must guess which is the lie.

Here, I’ll go first.

We do. I've been enjoying trying as many different cuisines as I can while here. It's kind of nice to not have to travel so far for it.

Has any particular dish or cuisine surprised you?

Spanish food so far. Spain is another country where I come from but so far away from Japan (my country) that it's hard to get authentic Spanish food there. I recently had a very nice paella here that I was grateful to be able to try.

Paella... I don't think I've had the pleasure of trying such a dish yet! I'll have to remember it for next time.

It was one of the more summer themed floors. Seemed like a little village in what I would assume is the Spanish countryside. I enjoyed it a lot though I don't know if I could find it again.
